Eiffel y su torre de metal - Eiffel and his metal tower

¿Cómo puede una estructura de metal causar tanto romanticismo? ¿Sera la gente que la rodea? ¿La musica, arte y ambiente del área?  /

How can a metal structure cause so much romanticism? Could it be the people around it? The music, art or entire environment of the area surrounding it?

 ¿Qué característica puede hacer que una estructura de 324m de altura, fabricada con materiales tan fríos como el hierro y el cristal, sea algo tan especial, tan acogedor, tan bello e inspirador? /

What feature can make a 324m tall structure, made of materials as cold as iron and glass, be something so special, so warm, so beautiful and inspiring?

Mi respuesta a esto, es que es un bicho raro.  /
My response to this is that it is a freak.

Sus ángulos perfectos, sus curvas deslumbrantes, su color cobrizo y su gigantezco tamaño, hacen que esta estructura llame la atención. Sobresale por todas las cosas que la rodean en todo sentido de la palabra.  /

Its perfect angles, dazzling curves, coppery colour and gigantic size, make this structure stand out, It stands out from everything surrounding it in every sense of the word.

Es uno de los monumentos mas altos de París, no coincide con ningún otro monumento a su alrededor, es único, y ningún otro se le asemeja.  Han tratado de imitarla, de hacerle tributo y de sobre pasarla, pero no puedo pensar en ninguna otra estructura que se le parezca, y mucho menos en el área que se encuentra. /

It is one of the tallest monuments of Paris, it doesn't match artistically with any other monument around it. It is unique, and no other comes close to resemble it. Many have tried to imitate it, to give tribute even surpass it, but I can't think of any other structure that resembles it, much less in the area where it's located.

No conozco a una persona que la haya visto de cerca y no quede totalmente anonadado, o enamorado de la belleza de esta torre.  /

And I don't know of any person who has seen it up close and was not completely overwhelmed, or in love with the beauty of this tower.

 

 Y es que así, como cuando conocemos a una persona que sobresale, y nos deslumbra con su rareza, es así, como la Torre de Eiffel, nos sorprende. /

So, as when we meet a person who excels and dazzles us with its rarity, so is the Eiffel Tower, we are surprised by its rareness.

Asi que, como siempre los invito para que se sorprendan por este magnifico monumento./

Cambio de Formato - Change in Format

Finalmente me he decidido a darle un nuevo look a mi blog. No un cambio totalmente radical, pero si uno sutil. Primero, le he cambiado el nombre a "mqueme places", porque pienso que las entradas que he publicado siempre van enfocadas a mostrar los lugares que he visitado y quiero mantenerlo así. Siempre tratando de invitarlos a que conozcan estos lugares y los disfruten tanto como yo a través de mis fotografías. 

Otro cambio que pienso hacer es publicarlo en español e ingles, solo para atraer mas publico y no solo a mis amigos guatemaltecos. Así que los invito a que dejen sus comentarios, los cuales son bienvenidos y muy agradecidos.

Finally I decided to give my blog a new look. Not a radical one, but a subtle one.  First, I changed the name to "mqueme places", because I think that most of my entries are of places I have visited, and want to keep it that way.  Always trying to invite you to know these places and to enjoy them as I have through my photographs.

Another change is that from now on, I will be publishing both in Spanish and English, to attract other readers and not just my Guatemalan friends.  So, I invite you to leave your comments, which are always welcomed and very much thanked for.
